Hello sorry to run here for this, but I have this pain what's in my thigh it's when I lift my leg, driving it hurts slightly, walking doesn't really hurt or when am led down it's literally when I move my leg, it's also at the side of my knee, obviously I'm not showing any other signs for anything bad such a blood clot but I don't have a clue what the pain is like for that any advice on what I should do? I don't want to waste anyone's time, thanks everyone

I’m not a medic but I always take care with leg pain after 2 blood clots which were asymptomatic apart from pain in one leg.

For random things when I’m not sure, I use 111 online - answer all the questions as best you can and do what it tells you to do at the end.

What was the pain like

When did it start? On the surface of it, it sounds muscular (i.e. hurts when you use the muscle, doesn't when your leg is still) - have you done anything that could have caused you to pull or strain a muscule?

But generally, if it's come on for no reason, and isn't easing, I'd see if you can see your GP, or as PP says, use 111 online.

The pain has pretty much gone now, I do a have a screw in my hip and have had for 12 years unsure if it's to do with that as I do get a lot of aches and pains in that leg
