To negotiate with broadband provider?

Is there any point negotiating with hyperoptic? Any tips?

I used to be with sky which was awful. They tried to whack up the price by a lot each year and I always had to phone around to get them to offer me a better deal.

This is why I switched to hyperoptic. The first years were ok with normalish annual price increases. Last year they put it up quite a bit and now want another 10pc increase. I think it's excessive.

I tried to negotiate last year but with limited luck. The actual price stayed as proposed but they gave me more speed. Now I'd rather have a smaller increase.

Any suggestions?

I thought about cancelling my contract to then take out a new one with hyperoptic and get a deal as advertised. Maybe that's possible? I hate how once you are a long term customer they try to have you pay over the odds whilst throwing money at prospective customers.
