Neighbours build work on my property

My neighbours have done work to change the front of their property. We live in terrace houses however they have not taken care to ensure it remains on just their house and covered part of the front of mine too. The houses were originally stone work looking but now part of mine is smeared with filler/ cement or whatever they used and its permanent. I tried knocking but no answer. What should I do?

They will have to answer their door at some point when you knock.
Do you have their mobile number so you could message? It’s the kind of communication you might want to have a permanent record of in black and white.
Do you have legal cover with your home insurance? Maybe phone them for advice?

Ask nicely to get them to rectify or take them to court.

Write a letter and ask them to rectify within 2 weeks. Keep a copy and chase if they don’t do it.

JFC. Leave a note. Tell them you tried to speak but leave your number and tell them it's regarding the damage to your property.

Did they need planning permission? Usually amendments to front bustling line would.

Leave a note/call back another time of day. Best to find out what the work is. Probably just cosmetic, but if it’s structural then you might want to know about it as a terraced property.

Knock again until they do answer.
