To think there is clearly something wrong with the mental health system

My daughter was homeless and waiting for accommodation. She didn’t choose to be in hospital long in fact all her past admissions were very short think days. To imply she would basically be rushed out as soon as she enters I don’t understand at one point they wanted to send her to a rehab unit!

To basically opulent admit in notes someone is at risk and have no regard is vile to me.

I guess it has to be an honest assessment. They have said the admission has not been helpful so they need to try alternative treatment, which isn’t without risk but there is still support in place which will hopefully help your daughter with her recovery at home. I wish her well.

The problem is they are many thousands of people at risk of self harm so it is impossible to keep them all in hospital. MH professionals are constantly juggling the risks against the available resources.
