To ask how to get rid of belly fat

I have about two stone to lose and the majority of it is around my belly. Since I had a c section I carry so much weight there in a really unsightly overhang.

I'm trying desperately hard to calorie count but I end up snacking and ruining it. I've been walking more, going to the gym and attempting to weight train but I have no fucking idea what I'm doing and I'm losing motivation.

I need guidance and someone to tell me right this is what you need to eat and how you need to train to lose this weight. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations (obviously can't afford a personal trainer!!!)

I did really well gettin my belly “less fat” by eating cleaner (no white stuff and some protein at every meal/snack), doing HIIT (running for me) 3 times a week for 30 mins, and strength training 3 times a week (nothing spectacular, just some dumbbells and a video).

I wish I could motivate myself to do it again! I was in great shape!

For me it’s cutting out booze and refined sugar.

Losing the excess weight will shrink belly fat. There’s no one thing to train fat away from the area I’m afraid, but ditching sugar will help.
As a typical apple, it was the very last thing to shrink in my case. Calorie counting using My Fitness Pal worked for me.

I'm in the middle of attempting this. I'm not overweight(as in my bmi is 23) but I have a wee pouch that is all I can see when I look at myself.
I've lost 7lbs since I started at the beginning of this month, I've basically cut out all sweets/chocolate and don't eat carb heavy things like pasta or bread. I walk a lot anyway but have added yoga for 30mins a day most days and exercise bike for 30mins every second day. I have a collection of joint and heart conditions that mean the exercise I can do is limited.

Anyway i would say my pouch has reduced in size by about half since I started. I'm not bloated at all anymore either unless I have to take certain painkillers for my joints. I'm hoping to lose another half a stone-ish and see where that leaves me. I've spent the past few summers feeling like shite in summer clothes and I want this year to be the one where I feel good.

Cutting out refined carbs and eating earlier in the day, with no snacking after dinner

I’m currently doing same and lost 2 stone. I’m apple shape so my stomach is where I carried most of my weight. I eat 1200-1500 depending on days. I weigh my pasta 100g of uncooked penne pasta is only 170 calories. I eat low carb but don’t actually refuse myself whatever I want. I go to the gym 4 times a week. I do ten mins on treadmill incline 12 speed 4. Then do weighted squats first just the bar which weighs 20lbs then slowly add more. Then alternate days between leg exercises and arm exercises. I finally do 20 more mins on treadmill same as before. I had an introduction with a pt who actually says you lose more if you do your cardio after your weight training. First time I’m actually seeing a big difference. I’ve been going 3 months and only lost 2 stone but my clothes and how I look, I’ve lost a lot more but I’ve built muscle at same time. So I don’t take note of them anymore.
