To lie about age for Frozen musical

DD turns 4 just under 2 weeks after Frozen musical stops running. I know she would love it and we have done quite a few shows/theatre trips with her before.

Can I get away with saying she's 4 so that we can see it before it ends? Are they likely to ask for proof??

i've been to many theatre things where the guidance says over 5 and the audience is full of 2 year olds.

if the guidance says over 15, the audience will be full of 12 year olds but at least no 5 year olds.

take her- they definitely won't check.

We've been to see it 3 times. There's always little kids in there so don't worry, just take her. They don't check.

Just take her if she will behave and not spoil it for other people .

Yes take her! They won’t check, at worst they might ask for DOB or age upon booking but can’t imagine they’ll expect proof. She’s not a baby. There’ll prob be one’s younger than her there. Have fun!

Just be ready to take her out if she starts playing up and disturbing other people

Krustykrabpizza · 29/01/2024 22:15

I don't think they actually ask at any point, we took DD for her 4th birthday

coverp · 29/01/2024 22:15

Thanks all, that was the response I was hoping for! I had a great fear of getting her all geared up for it then being turned away at the door!

Take her! There was a little tot definitely younger than her next to me when we went to see it. Her mum sort of tested the ground with us and said she'd told her not to sing but she shouldn't have worried, her child was so well behaved. She did sing really quietly under her breath during Let It Go and made the tiniest movements along with Elsa - I was so enchanted I nearly missed the costume change!

I had no idea it was ending soon 😭 I really want to take my daughter but want to wait til she’s a year or two older, but sounds like I might have missed my chance 😭😭😭

Scalessayeek · 29/01/2024 22:25

We took my oldest the day she turned four (she is very tall and looks older mind). They didn’t ask for any proof of age but she did struggle to sit through it all if I’m honest. It’s amazing though and well worth a visit. We’ve booked in for our third trip before it closes 🤪

I walk past fairly regularly and often see little ones going in who look 2 or 3.
