Mine is to live in the countryside somewhere with my boyfriend, travel a lot together, get married, have our first child. I’d love to be a dog walker/sitter, do this for a couple hours while he’s at work, do lots of cooking and baking. I want my own garden to grow our own veg, and have a couple of chickens. Eventually have more children, at least 2 more. What about you?

I like the sound of yours but no kids and no dogs for me thanks! Other than that to live in different big cities for a year or so at a time Paris, New York, Moscow, Tokyo and so on.

CurlyTop1980 · 29/01/2024 21:28

Mine is simple. To have enough money to be able to get up, go to the gym everyday and not have to work very much. Ideally not have to work at all. To be able to spend time with DH instead of being frazzled all the time from working such long hours.

Unknown18 · 29/01/2024 21:29

I somehow forgot, I’d have some rescue dogs, in my ideal world I’d have a lurcher, German shepherd, springer spaniel and a border terrier, and as many cats as possible! Possibly a horse or two if space allowed too. Ideally somewhere far enough away from people to be able to have some amazing speakers and play them as loud as I wanted!

Not work and live very near the sea in a quiet place.
Have my 3 kids happy and full-filled in all aspects of their life , be with my husband and our dogs.
Have more than enough to pay the bills , live comfortably and have security .
Potter around my lovely garden and spend time on the beach each day.
Have fresh flowers every week and permanent late summer /early autumn weather all year.

Errols · 29/01/2024 21:52

The life I have now, only without the stressful full time job.

CrackerlessCracker · 29/01/2024 21:54

Have enough money to buy the four bed house down the road that I love, and to be able work on my own business full time and make it a success.

£400k would be enough to make my dream life a reality but it may as well be £4M.

PermanentTemporary · 29/01/2024 21:55

I think I do live my dream life, or at least one of them. I have a home and a garden, I love dp who lives with me now, my son is grown up and doing well. I work a lot but that means I employ a cleaner. I'm still pretty healthy at the moment. So very lucky.

Dogdilemma2000 · 29/01/2024 22:04

Cottage overlooking the sea, with artist studio shed, and a garden full of flowers, fruit, and vegetables. Maybe a few chickens.

LorlieS · 29/01/2024 22:15

A life where all of my children are with me more than just EOW. My husband is amazing, as is our little girl (3), but of course it doesn't stop me from wanting my boys home.

elm26 · 29/01/2024 22:28

To have enough money to be able to design, build and furnish a 5 bed home with a lovely garden. To be able to have another DD or a DS. To be able to put money aside for our children so that they have a good head start for when they want to buy/travel/study etc and just to be a little more greedy, I'd love to have the money to open my own animal sanctuary and take in/look after and rehabilitate strays, abandoned and sick animals ♥️

CaptainCachitoo · 29/01/2024 22:36

have at least £250,000 gbp, then retire, focus on my self development. hobbies, and my garden plot.

WishesPromises · 29/01/2024 22:40

Semi Realistic - divorced and living with dc. Able to follow my passions. Have great friends and maybe a romantic partner who kept at arms length from the rest of my life.

Totally unrealistic - all of the above but in Italy.

foghead · 29/01/2024 22:50

If I'm dreaming, I'm going in hard - coastal huge house with enough bedrooms for our many guests. About 10 should be enough.
Enough funding for cleaners and a chef.

Realistic dream - a bigger house, detached with a bit of land. Not too far from the city centre. Enough money from my research work to travel well.

ManhattanNY · 29/01/2024 23:18

Move to a fairytale house in Celebration Florida. Decorate my front lawn for every holiday. Cycle about because of course the weather is mostly summer. Open a Welsh cake shop in the local town, making all sorts of flavours of Welsh cake. Own a small boat/yacht and take it out to the Gulf coast every weekend, sleeping overnight on it. Spend my leisure time paddle boarding.

Touty · 29/01/2024 23:22

To have an apartment in NYC and a house in Spain. To pursue my love of music and entertaining in NYC.

Flatandhappy · 29/01/2024 23:26

The one I am living without the after effects of cancer (extreme fatigue, multiple medical appointments, lymphodema, peripheral neuropathy I’m looking at you bitches!).

FallingStar21 · 29/01/2024 23:29

My dream life?
End of child abuse, child murders and all violent crimes.

shellyleppard · 29/01/2024 23:32

To move to the Yorkshire coast. To b the able to hear or see the sea every day. To be pain free and walk for miles like I used to.

GentlemanJay · 29/01/2024 23:35

I'm very happy. A lottery win wouldn't make me any happier. I have a great relationship with my children. I've friends I've know all my adult life and some more recent ones. When the sun I shining, I'm at my happiest walking or on my bike. I'm very fortunate.

justanothermanicmonday1 · 29/01/2024 23:36

Similar to you.

Quiet, country with rolling fields and water/beach near by.

Have a garden with plenty of veg and fruit and a little pool for the kids.

Big washing line to hang out laundry.

Travel & gym freely & be at home with my kids whilst they grow but also working part time from home.

Hotpolarbear · 29/01/2024 23:46

I'd love to have enough money to build my own house with horse yard. I'd love to foster a few children and give them and my own children a great life.

IHateLegDay · 30/01/2024 00:22

Health and happiness for my family and myself.
Enough money that we live stress-free lives and can holiday a couple of times a year.

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 30/01/2024 00:31

I'd have a massive house with tons of land and my own Cat sanctuary, where all the unwanted Cats and kittens can come to be loved, cared for, fed and watered. There would even be some separate out houses, with food and warm bedding during winter for any ferals sleep in oh and maybe a small cattery too.

Morewineplease10 · 30/01/2024 00:38

A beautiful and large period and house with enough room to house me, my kids and all of our hobbies and interests.

Someone to help with cleaning and gardening.

Enough to be able to help out with charities.

charabang · 30/01/2024 01:12

In my dream life I'd be single, no kids amd live somewhere rural with a beautiful garden that I could spend all day tending. I'd have a couple of everlasting dog companions, not the dying sort (too much heartache) and I'd have the most amazing summerhouse with a glass roof that I'd spend the night in watching for shooting stars.
