Just came across a video on Tik Tok sent to me of a fully grown woman ( claiming on her profile to work for a travel company ) approaching a ticket warden who seems really friendly and polite and asking him really personal questions about whether he gets commission or likes his job, repeating 'do you like it!?' and taking the mick out of him when he confides in her how he gets abused on the daily. Sadly its gone viral with comments that are absolutely vile about the poor man who never asked to be approached by her and she is clearly just posting it for clout. Do we really live in a society where people can't even work without this happening to them? Would I be unreasonable to send this to her employer?

Yabu - not a big deal
Yanbu - someone who does this with their job in their profile should accept that they are representing their company

Absolutely report. People are nit being held accountable for their behaviour enough. Companies have policies for this sort of thing for a reason.

Thank you will do it now, with these sort of things (never done anything like it before) do you reckon it's acceptable to just say hi I have come across this video concerning one of your employees?

Which one is it on Tik Tok?

frecklejuice · 28/01/2024 20:11

I would totally report it but also screen record it on your phone before she takes it down once she realises she has fucked up.

Popetthetreehugger · 28/01/2024 20:25

Definitely report . Actions have consequences. The very least is she will be humiliated like she intended this man going about his job to be .

Sorry I am rubbish with tik tok, I think her name was Kala maybe? The guy in it would be identifiable by his voice to his family or if he saw it. It's been viral for a couple of days and bothering me because of the senseless nastiness of it all. I can't understand why someone would do that. The guy who sent it to me was a traffic warden in the past as a single dad and said himself he didn't realise we were meant to be ashamed of working these days. Some really horrible comments too. Thanks for your input everyone I will see if I can locate the video and her employer details.

I’d report. People don’t deserve to be mocked on the internet for doing their job.

Sofaz34 · 28/01/2024 21:48

Yea do it, make an example of her. At least he's working.

OnceUponATimeInChiltern · 28/01/2024 21:50

Exactly, if its not just downright mean the arrogance of assuming one can simply post such things casting judgement upon others is disgraceful.
