To think this hairdresser needs to leave me alone?

Had my hair done, didn’t like the colour but just left it as felt at least the roots were covered. It seemed cheap and I asked her to double check and she said it was right.

She then messaged a week later to say she’d charged me wrong but I should see it as a gift (she claimed she did a full head but the roots underneath would say differently) and that she’s just letting me know as next time I’d be charged more.

I told her politely there wouldn’t be a next time, I didn’t like the colour and I also asked her at the time to check the price. She insisted she could get me to my colour on the next going and let her know in the morning if I wanted to re-book.

I ignored her (this was December) and now she’s messaged to say she’s been thinking of me and wants to give it another try.

Block her number. Simple.

I'd be inclined to ignore her or even block her number if you feel the need. Maybe she's struggling for business but that doesn't mean you have to give her your business.

I would just ignore. You were concerned about the price and asked her to check, she did so that's not your problem. Seems a bit odd her messaging again, as someone said further up she's maybe struggling and looking for business, but as you weren't happy with the service don't feel pressured into anything. You did the right thing looking for clarification, and tbh most people wouldn't and would have been chuffed it was cheap.

Hope you're feeling better about the hair now, I had a similar thing happen a few years back. It was supposed to be an ashy brown, but came out really, really red instead, took me weeks to come round to it 😅

Block and ignore

Funniest part was I sent a photo of my hair and she said it looked better on the day … babe that photo was taken after I left the salon.

Alarm bells should have gone off when she didn’t ask to look at the photo of the colour I wanted again.
