To think people start threads with “To think…”

Why do so many threads have the title “To think…”

Where does it come from?
What does it mean?
Why does it bug me.

YABU - to think you don’t get it!
YANBU - yeah, what’s that about?!

It’s a continuation of the sentence,

“am I being unreasonable to think…”

I thought you meant posters who use the phrase to title threads on boards other than aibu! That irritates me 😄

I thought I’d seen it elsewhere but then with the AIBU board explanation thought it made sense…it would be annoying without the AIBU opener!
