Soccer trip abroad

My DDs soccer team are going to a tournament abroad this summer, 8 days in total. The planning is atrocious and I haven't got a good feeling about the while thing from the start. Parents are allowed go but children will be staying in separate accommodation. Parents need to sort their own accommodation. To get to the tournament it's two planes there and back. Obviously the costs are now spiralling and it's looking like it's going to cost at a minimum €3,000.

My DD has said it's OK if we don't go as she is not too pushed but I'm worried she will be missing out. There is one other child not going.

Do I suck it up and go or be content with the decision not to go.

If you can’t afford it don’t go

Not sure why parents need to tag along.

If it’s the lack of planning you are concerned about, have they done this trip before? And children lost en route ?

We could get the money together. I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my DD go on her own. They haven't done this trip before. DD has gone on other trips that have been closer and for a couple of days and parents went too. I just think it's a lot of pressure to put on parents. There were better options but club has left it too late to avail of those so its literally just a mad dash to try and secure accommodation and we don't have an exact location of where kids will be staying until April so it's hard to know where to book accommodation.
