Oh God no! I have to really psych myself up to cut mine and I can't stand anyone else cutting them either! Need to soak my feet to get my nails soft as there's no way I can do them "dry"!!! Toenails, only mine, are a bit of a phobia for me, I have absolutely no idea why! But yeah, it does feel good once I have done them!

Nortono · 25/01/2024 20:05

If they’re quite long, you feel really pleased a bit like tidying out a drawer you’dmeant to for ages

Absolutely!
I might do mine today!

Why is it any different to giving yourself a lovely pedicure? I recently surprised myself with how satisfying it was to sort out my mum’s disgusting fungal toenails. Really wish I’d taken before and after pics! It made me briefly consider retraining as a podiatrist (until I researched the necessary medical training)

I have to sit on my hands when Ds2 does his after a shower. He's 11 and not great at getting them straight yet. It's all I can do to stop from taking over but he has to learn so...

IDidntWearASmileToday · 26/01/2024 19:44

I've just done mine and now laying in fresh sheets, absolute bliss

But, why did this need to be a thread? Do we have to share EVERYTHING with strangers??
Were you really that bored?

If there’s the least bit of seriousness in that, you can train as a foot health practitioner in 12 months part time. I didn’t know about this until I looked for a mobile podiatrist to cut my father’s toenails. The lady we found is really good and now does my husband’s too, including sorting out fungal toenail and dealing with minor foot problems.

@MereDintofPandiculation I had no idea this was an option. Off to do some research. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
