Depressed friend - neglected dog

How would you approach this scenario. Friend is depressed - literally on the edge. I’m her only friend. Dog has become neglected. He’s fed and warm but that’s it. He needs to see a vet. She doesn’t seem to see it. I’ve tried to approach it gently but it hasn’t gone in. I can’t ignore it but at the same time I don’t want to tip her over the edge. How would you handle this?

Just to add this dog was the picture of health two years ago. This is just not like her at all.

Make the appointment yourself. Go pick up lead and take ddog to the vet. If she refuses you take it anyway...

just raise your concern but with an adage you're going to sort it as you don't want to add pressure?

I won’t be able to handle the dog myself, he’s huge and has a bite history (again due to a health concern and an unsympathetic trainer 😞)

I know 😞 I don’t know what to do. I’m thinking of inviting her out for lunch this weekend and just really try and talk to her about everything

If she has money get a vet to her home while you will be there... Ask them to bring a muzzle..
