Anne or the Hillsborough docudrama

The Sixth Commandment with Timothy Spall and Anne Reid was very good and based on a true story.

I want to watch an American nightmare. It’s a true crime docuseries that is similar to the story Gone Girl.

Ah yes was also about to suggest Hillsborough - it’s very good.

Also, I’d suggest Let him have it (a film about a man who was hanged after a burglary attempt). I haven’t watched it’s on my list - think it’s on Amazon Prime. It’s got Christopher Eccleston in it, who is fantastic in everything I’ve seen him him - incidentally he’s also in the Hillsborough mini series.

And I’ve just started watching Sherwood (on BBC iPlayer). It’s not about a miscarriage of justice really, but it’s about murders that took place in Nottingham in an ex-mining community, and it’s really interesting to see the community’s loyalties and tensions and how these have been affected by the miners’ strikes in the 1980s. It also taught me something new, as I didn’t actually know that Nottinghamshire was affected by the miners’ strikes - I always thought of the North East more than the East Midlands being affected.

It's harrowing and a tough watch, but Three Girls is very good. It's about the Rochdale child abuse and exploitation ring.

Not about miscarriage of justice but Vanishing Act about an Australian woman who ripped off people including friends and family to the tune of 40 AUS dollars then disappeared, a trainer with her foot in it turned up on a beach.
True story

Ooh yes I watched that recently. It’s a crazy story and so sad for everyone involved (including the woman - I think she’s presumed dead).

I’d recommend Dark Waters if you’ve not seen it (Mark Ruffalo film)

Truelove on Channel 4 was excellent. Also second Vanishing Act x

Sitting in Limbo- about Windrush on BBC was excellent.
I also really enjoyed a few other ITV dramas- Whitehouse Farm, The man, his wife & the canoe (also has Monica Dolan) & Stonehouse. All excellent.

The Other Mrs Jordan (ITV documentary about a bigamist scammer) is very good.

This was excellent. Jason Watkins is always a treat.
