No heating or hot water since Friday

I rang up my estate agents on Friday as my boiler started leaking & the pressure was going too high into the red. It's a pipe that's leaking underneath the boiler, not coming directly from the boiler

I sent pictures online alongside a statement saying what was wrong.

They said they would send somebody round. I have waited all weekend and no one has come. I rang this morning to see what was going on and the said they had literally just text me

The text I received was

Good Morning, SafeGas phoned me this morning and mentioned they have already quoted for these works previously. I have resent the quotes to the owner, as soon as I get the go ahead we will send them down asap. Hoping it will be today! Cheers Billy

He told me what he said ( previous work was a new filter ) and I told him they had already been round to fix that and I'd sent in online and phoned with what the problem exactly was

He stated again he would get in touch with SafeGas and the owner and as soon as he got the go ahead he would send someone round

Surely this isnt okay to leave us this long without any hot water or heating? And I thought they just sent people round and then charged the landlord after?

I have a 7 and a 9 year old and all weekend we have been under an electric blanket and in multiple layers.

I'm getting really upset about it now, I feel like their not going to come round today either as when they came round last time I got a text off SafeGas with a timeslot of when they would come and I havnt received one all day

What do I do from here? We can go to my friends for a shower/bath but I dont want to have to really

Have you told your landlord/agent? Tell them you don’t have any form of another heater and you’ve no hot water. People can live a few days without a shower but the heat thing is absolutely necessary

Do you not have an electric fan heater you can use to heat up one room? Worth having one for situations like this, I have found.

They should be sorting this out as a priority so I would be calling them back and insisting they send someone out today. They can't leave you without heating and hot water.

Hi, I did on Friday, I reported it online aloneside photos and said I didnt have any hot water or heating. I also rang up on Friday then rang up yesterday and said the same about no heating or hot water.

My landlord lives in Spain so I only ever deal with the estate agents

I do, I've been using a plug In radiator all weekend. Its costing me an absolute fortune. I spent £7 on my electric on Saturday alone because of the heater

My children have had to sleep in my bed for days with me now as it's so cold in the house. We have been able to see our own breath

I'm absolutely furious I cant believe theyve left it this long. I had issues with them a few years ago where they wouldnt replace the broken down oven and left it for over a year. They only fixed it because o complained to the council and the local MP

Get on the phone to the agent and say that if you don't have someone out today then you are ringing the environmental health department at your local council as they can take enforcement action action against the landlord and he will probably end up with a fine.

Phone Shelter for advice. I wouldn’t tolerate this any longer, it clearly isn’t being treated as a high priority and it should be.
