2021 - my DD who has complex health needs was in hospital a long time.
there was a man who liked to cause issues outside - he had been previously been arrested for slapping a nurse.
I was outside the hospital when he was kicked out of a&e, he approached me and asked me for a cigarette and I said I didn’t have any. He got closer and started getting in my face. Covid was a worry at this point due to covid so I asked him to move and intrude to move backwards but he followed.
I went to walk away and the next thing I know he had punched me in the face. I explained the lead up so you could see it was totally unprovoked.
there was clear CCTV footage.
he was put on bail and One of his conditions was he wasn’t allowed neat the hospital ( unless emergencies ) and was not allowed near me.
he broke his bail with in a week by approaching me outside the hospital on my way back from getting lunch. Security called the police and he was bailed again.
court come around and he didn’t show up.
Eventually despite clear cctv footage of a unprovoked “ attack “ breaking bail conditions and skipping court he was found guilty but given no time and a fine / compensation to Myself of 200 pound which just arrived today after 2 and half years 🙈

I am so sorry, op. That is absolutely appalling. A man like that should be launched into the middle of the ocean. He is a massive tragedy just waiting to happen.
