House insurance

Just found letters from house insurance company at my deceased dads house. I’d paid up until two days ago. The letters should have come to me as executor but address was wrong so my house name but his address. Because I didn’t get the reminder as hadn’t been there for a few weeks, it’s been cancelled as I missed the deadline. Can I reinstate it and it cover the lapsed days?

I know I am BU posting here for traffic.

Call them as it's the only way to find out. I'm guessing they would be helpful.

Ive already notified them if the death and paid for the rest if the year. Would I still need the bereavement team?

Why do you need to cover the lapsed days? Can you just get online and open a new insurance policy from today? Genuine question by the way! Is there a problem if you had some days when not insured (assuming nothing has happened that would require you to claim in those days)
