To really hate the constant requests for feedback and reviews

Every time you buy something. Every service you use. Every tradesperson you get in. Every single flipping one of them wants feedback and a review. And if you don't provide it straight away, they keep asking again and again. I hate it. And yes, I know I can opt out or unsubscribe, but I find it so annoying.

Good reviews make a world of difference to getting jobs these day. People will check online to see if you have a good reputation. Unfortunately more people are inclined to leave bad reviews than good ones and it can make the difference to that tradesperson between getting a job and not.

If it was a tradesperson who had done work in the house or garden, I’d leave a review, but I’m not going to review every time I buy vitamins or similar. It’s also more difficult if it was a gift and you don’t know whether the recipient has eaten/ used/ worn it yet. Those that ask for reviews within ten minutes of receiving whatever it was, are ignored.

We bought a car recently and did the review for that, but they keep sending the same email. It’s annoying.

Yeah, Amazon etc can fuck right off.

Having said that though, I am just setting up a Google profile for my own small business, and I'm very grateful to the past customers I've asked for a review, most of whom have obliged and given me 5 stars 😊

The automated phone call you get from British Gas is particularly annoying.

And the car companies who don't pay their sales people unless you give positive feedback is a rubbish way to run a business.

M&S are getting terrible for this - needy survey emails pretty much every time I buy anything, even just a loaf of bread. And I know it’s my choice to scan my Sparks card, but it’s still way too much and makes me wonder whether to shop there or not.

I get dog food delivered monthly. It arrived today coincidentally and was left on the doorstep, I immediately got the monthly email asking me to rate and comment on my delivery, honestly what is there to say.

Yes it is very annoying

also annoying was the realization that the metrics used by the companies are skewed. They assume people will give a 5/5 for decent service. However, many people would naturally view the scale with a 3 as the starting point and a 5 as exceptional service. The surveys rarely explain that giving someone a 3 is a horrible score.

So many surveys and yet with many of the companies, I wonder if they ever read the answers.
