We shouldn’t view to many houses with the same estate agent

I am interested in moving to a particular area and have started to view some houses. I have noticed that 70% of the houses are marketed by a single estate agent. There are one or two houses that I am curious about but I’ve decided not to view them because the EA might think I’m wasting his time, viewing too many properties. I’ve decided to only view properties that I am really keen on buying.
I am being unreasonable?

Why aren’t you just viewing the houses you are interested in? Weird approach but do what you want.

It's their job. I would view all the ones I want to view. Good luck!

I wouldn't feel shy of viewing if you are keen- he won't think you are a time waster. It's perfectly normal to view a lot of houses, it's a big purchase! Be a good viewer- turn up on time and give sensible feedback afterwards. Tell the agent your position and explain what you are looking for- you may even be able to get shown houses before they go on the open market.

Yeah that's pretty weird. It's literally their job to sell houses, they won't think you're wasting their time if you view multiple properties.

When I was house hunting a couple years ago every EA would ask me what I was interested in in general so for example a 3 bed in x area in y budget. I would then get calls/ emails if they had anything matching it.
Look at as many as you like. If there's a few you like with 1 agent they can often line up viewings on the same day. So you just drive around after the estate agent one morning to look at all the houses your interested in.

Surely if they think anything of it (which they won’t) it would just be that you’re being thorough and narrowing down exactly what you want?

if you were viewing everything from a one bed studio flat to a 5 bed detached house they might think you’re just having a nose, but part of house buying is seeing a lot of properties and they get that.

We viewed a dozen or so houses tat medium criteria in the area we were keen to live in. When we found the one we went in to buy we knew it was the right one for us and put an offer in the same day.
