Dh took Dd on the back of his bike

Am I overreacting

Dh has a new electric motorbike type thing, like an electric moped, but fairly large. It has space on the back for another person.
Today he let Dd have a go slowly down the road on the back of it. We live in a cul de sac, he went very slowly, but didn’t even put a helmet on her. He thinks I’m being dramatic to have been pissed off about this, am I?

I think it's hard to say unless we know how slowly he was going. At walking pace probably fine. If he was "only doing 20 miles an hour" not so much. I would definitely have put a helmet on.

Might be good to think about it from the point of view that your dd might one day also want a motorcycle and this is a great time to instill common sense, rather than avoidance, if that is on the cards.

I think it says the wrong thing to the child? It's ok to not wear a helmet, whereas for me it should always be a non negotiable.

Be very careful. News is full of stories of the lithium batteries in these things catching fire. My mother and father in law both died in fire cause by lithium batteries.
