Help! My dog is going grey?

Sounds daft maybe, but does anyone know why some dogs go grey really quickly?

I’ve got a beautiful female golden retriever who went grey from around the age of 2 and is now at the age of 4 if quite significantly grey/white, mainly on her snout and under eyes. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest but I was slightly worried in case I was missing something and actually there’s something wrong causing this? When I googled it it said it can be loneliness and stress but I don’t think it’s that in her case- shes happy and healthy and I still live at home with my parents who are retired so she has them at home all the time and she has daily fun walks to the beach, woods, fields, local hill walks etc and it’s not like she’s ever lonely or spending considerable time herself. She’s a really happy and relaxed dog and otherwise fit and well but I’ve had a few comments about how young she is to be so grey and I suppose I was just slightly worried I was missing something about it all

thanks in advance x

Just for a bit of context- we’ve had various breeds of dogs in the past and have seen some greying over the years but nothing as significant and as young as hers x

I know nothing about dogs but given there's natural variation in when people go grey due to genetics I imagine it could be the same for dogs?

Our black lab started going grey at 2 and was really grey by 5. He's stated that way since and is now almost 10

My greyhound (brindle with black points) has gradually gone completely white on the muzzle between the ages of 2-6.

He’s very healthy, just living up to his breed name, he’s a very-grey-hound.

His nickname is now ‘Sugarface’.
