To say how I really feel at work?

Tomorrow, with it being Blue Monday, we have an initiative organised by HR to encourage us to chat about our feelings with colleagues.

Well my MH is pretty dire currently and it's all down to work and specifically down to poor management at work. I won't of course, but part of me feels like sharing how I feel far and wide because any attempts to raise concerns with the people who could make things much more positive for me have only made things worse.

Does anyone have a workplace where these kinds of things feel real rather than a bit of internal PR?

In my experience they only want the fluffy or resolved mental health issues.

I do not see how this is helpful or effective. Share your experience and then feel anxious about any potential conflict. No thank you !

Today I've realised I think them pretending to care about MH is more depressing than them being true to themselves and ignoring it.

My workplace is all Let's Talk About It but when you need time off for mental health issues they come after you relentlessly asking when you're coming back. Or some managers don't understand/don't want to understand.

I hope you are getting the support you need.

I don't have many people I can talk to about general problems but I do have some and I am far more likely to go to them than a colleague. But I don't have anyone I can effectively talk to about issues at work, which are the main driver for my low mood. They don't really want to understand, which is why they're all for "let's talk as a group" and never "let's talk one to one and find out what's going on".
