Wavy hair

When I use my air styler brush to get a wave in my hair it drops out very quickly and goes flat.

I've tried volumising mousse, blow dry cream, blow dry spray, but nothing seems to really hold the style.

Pic attached for what I want it to stay like!

Any product recommendations?

Is your hair damp when you use the air wrap? I blow dry mine 70% and then use the air wrap curler for the final bit which holds okay

Yeah I dry the roots and partially dry the ends, then add product and use the air styler

That kind of look has probably been done using straighteners or tongs rather than an air styler.

You're also probably better doing that kind of style on dry and day old hair. Fresh washed isn't going to hold any style.

You'd need a tong like a ghd soft curl or some good straighteners, plus a decent texture spray and hairspray

If using straighteners, you only want to put a half-rotation in rather than a full twist, just to give the hair some movement. Change direction every other piece too so the hair isn't all waving in the same direction

If you can't do the half rotation, do a full one but straighten the ends an inch or so to give it a choppy wavy look.

If using a tong, look on tik tok or you tube for the wrap/unravel/twist method which when you master is it so easy and gives perfect waves every time. I have a long bob and wear my hair in waves like this every day.

I can't see how an air styler could do this look, I really rate the ghd soft curl tong
