Im in my early 40s and I feel like I need a better style! I’m not that great at putting outfits together and would love some inspiration!
If you are in your early 40s which are your go to shops? Favourite outfits?

I'm around that age, sainsburys, h&m, new look all do stuff that suits every age, just because we get older doesn't mean we have to change our style... do what makes you happy, im bang on the flare trend again, missed these bad boys whilst skinnies took the reign for 10 years 😉

Sainsbury's and Primark mostly. Same as my 20s. Not sure I've ever had style though! Got a really warm hoodie in Edinburgh Woollen Mill recently.

I'm 48 and when I was muuuuuch younger bloody loved wearing black. Loved it. Looked great in it.

Then 30s fell for the wisdom that it's ageing and doesn't look good and to be honest fell into a bit of a style wilderness.

In the last few years I've thought, sod it, and rediscovered black. And I still love it and I think I look great in it. One of the reasons I think this is because it makes putting an outfit together so easy. I wear it with navy, tan and white and love silver jewellery but kept simple. Outfits are easy to mix and match. I just feel at ease and confident.

My current most loved combo is a black oversized sweater dress, tights, DMs and either a leather jacket or a denim. Paul Smith and Fred Perry do excellent dresses.

So yea - don't listen when they say black ages you Grin

Ultra sharp with inmaculate fitting or 90s hip-grunge / laid back.
