To ask if you'd travel to...

Side, Antalya - Turkey. In April.

I've booked it and now I'm being told that because of what we've sent to Yemen, it's unsafe for me to go to Antalya in Turkey. Apparently there's severe terrorism threats (I know there is in c steal Turkey, but... Antalya?) should I go through the hell of trying to change my holiday with the travel agent or am I going to be fine?

No because it'll be too cold for me but the events wouldn't put me off

Eh? Check the FCDO travel warnings. Who has told you it's unsafe?

Who is telling you it's unsafe? Have you checked the foreign office travel advice?
Unless the foreign office are effectively banning travel you will probably struggle to get it changed without looking your deposit.
We went to Hong Kong during the 2019 protest/riots - foreign office said the "advised against travelling" but didn't say travel was banned, so our travel insurance would not have paid out if we cancelled (as it was advice, not a ban).

I've been to Side and would go again, it was lovely.

I'd never go back to Turkey for so many reasons.

Antalya airport is the most expensive place in the known universe for food and drink though.

I would never go to Turkey anyway (moral reasons I won't go into here), but if I did want to go, I wouldn't be put off. Assuming you're planning on staying in a resort, you're pretty safe.

It also won't be THAT warm in April. It'll be like "nice summers day here" temps. Nice, but perhaps not lying out all day temps.
