Is this just me or am I crazy? So I'm watching TV in the living room husband comes in and starts playing his steam deck (handheld game console) on full blast. I ask him to play it with no sound please. He says no it's a shared room and a program I have watched before and carried on. I then asked him to put headphones in he said only if I go get them as its my problem. I said no. So he just continued at full whack. After like 20 minutes of this back and forth i finally get his stupid headphones. Having to many sounds on at once makes me feel sick and drives me insane. Was I being unreasonable to think in the living room if someone is watching you put headphones in?

Is husband a typo for 3 year old child?

FourEyesGood · 13/01/2024 09:18

Are you actually brother and sister? This sounds like typical sibling bickering!

Ispini · 13/01/2024 09:18

He is being totally disrespectful towards you and basically saying his gaming takes priority. I’d hide it! Immature I know but I wouldn’t tolerate that, what a manchild!

ManateeFair · 13/01/2024 09:19

He’s an absolute dick. He sounds about 12.

Createausername1970 · 13/01/2024 09:21

What a selfish arse.

Do you do all the laundry? I would stop doing his and if he says anything repeat back "it's your problem not mine"

No I'm 36! 🤣 I know it sounds like petty teenager squabbles. Usually I would have just got the headphones 1st time he asked, but our son has had a sickness bug all week so I've hardly slept and I literally had no energy to move.

Why in gods name would you usually have got his headphones for him?? He’s a grown adult but sounds like a child, and you’re treating him like one ffs.

Why? You were there first watching TV so why should you put headphones on?

This has made me furious on your behalf and if this incident is indicative of his behaviour overall, I couldn't stay with him because I'd have constant rage
