Solo female traveller. I'm wanting to go on an all inclusive holiday at Easter. Warm. Cheap. Preferably flight from Bristol. Where should I go? NOT Spain! Thank you!

It depends on if you want snorkeling, boat trips or a hotel with good entertainment and good cocktails. Just go on Jet2/TUI and eliminate what you don't want.

ChangedCircumstances · 10/01/2024 17:02

Do you have a large budget? I've never felt safer alone than when I was in Japan if you are looking long-haul.

I'd personally avoid Morocco, Italy, Greece and Turkey if you don't want to be hit on by men. I'm being very general obviously but I'd not go alone unless you want that kind of attention or are adept at refusing it without feeling awkward.

Noooooooope · 10/01/2024 17:07

Canary Islands, not strictly Spain and pretty much guaranteed sun!

Catza · 10/01/2024 17:16

Malta is stunning, very safe, warm and loads of gorgeous hiking opportunities. The whole island is accessible by bus and has a vibrant art and music scene.

egowise · 10/01/2024 17:21

I've had fantastic solo holidays in Greece and turkey!

devildeepbluesea · 10/01/2024 17:23

Turkey is extremely good value and has fairly guaranteed weather.

Cheshiresun · 10/01/2024 17:23

Maybe a cruise. Often popular with solo travellers and some have solo meets for drinks/dinner too.

soloqueen · 10/01/2024 18:43

Where's the most popular place to go in turkey?

What type of holiday are you looking for? Chill out by the pool holiday with cocktails - Turkey (Antalya).
Want to roam a bit more - Canary Islands

MatildaTheCat · 10/01/2024 18:51

April is very early in the season if you’re after a sun, sea and sand type of holiday. The Canaries or Madeira would be safest for the temperature then. You could be lucky nearer but it is certainly not guaranteed.

rookiemere · 10/01/2024 18:53

Seaside Los Jameos in Lanzarote is lovely. Great food and drinks and everything is included in the AI. May be over budget though.

rookiemere · 10/01/2024 18:54

I'd personally avoid Turkey as a solo female unless you only plan to stay in the hotel complex.

DazedandConcerned · 10/01/2024 18:54

Egypt. No chance of rain unlike Turkey.

I’ve been many many times - sometimes solo and love it there. If you are looking for anything specific in your hotel let me know and I’ll make some suggestions.

Mynewnameis · 10/01/2024 18:54

Lanzarote

KnowledgeableMomma · 10/01/2024 18:56

Go on a cruise! Visit lots of different places, exciting excursions (or relaxing beach days if you prefer) and yummy food.

amylou8 · 10/01/2024 19:12

I'd avoid Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia as a solo female, unless you're a very confident traveller. All great places but you will get hassled.
Canaries maybe, or Malta.

AgMaggy · 10/01/2024 19:14

Tenerife, cheap and cheerful with a short flight. Pretty much guaranteed sun. I prefer the north of the Island

NoKnit · 10/01/2024 19:18

None of the places mentioned are warm at Easter. Or rather define warm. None of the places mentioned are warm enough for bikini by the pool. T Shirt weather perhaps but sunbathing by pool they are not even Turkey, Greece and Canaries all too cold for proper beach holiday.

I think Caribbean or Indian Ocean are your best bets

NoKnit · 10/01/2024 19:20

Actually Egypt possibly could be warm enough. But let's face it not a good place to go at the moment

Hobbesmanc · 10/01/2024 21:49

What's your budget. Cos most of Europe won't be that warm and lots of destinations like Greece don't really start till later in the year especially with regional flights. Egypt is probably one place with AI and sunshine but if you have a better budget what about Thailand. There's package deals to popular beach resorts where a lone woman would feel, safe.

soloqueen · 10/01/2024 18:43

Where's the most popular place to go in turkey?

I've been to Antalya and marmaris. Much prefer Antalya, was more peaceful, but still had a lot of fun and relaxation in marmaris.

turtleyawesome1 · 10/01/2024 21:56

Croatia?

EdgarsTale · 10/01/2024 21:58

Madeira. Lovely place for exploring and walking. Will be warm at Easter.

Dogsitterwoes · 11/01/2024 14:56

Third suggestion of Madeira. Great spring weather, really safe, lots of lovely hotels and things to do.

sweetpickle23 · 11/01/2024 15:04

I definitely would not go to Turkey as a solo female traveller.
