To worry about the state of a passport.

I am very careful with passports, but last night I got DS's passport out to open a bank account online. The emergency contacts page at the back had somehow managed to fold so there is a diagonal crease across the page. There is no damage to the cover of the passport or the ID pages. I have put the passport under some heavy boxes to flatten the fold out. The fold is the only damage to the passport. AIBU to be worried about this crease in this passport or have many of you also got similar signs of use to your passports and have had no bother travelling?

It won't matter at all 😕 Why would it?

If it doesn't affect the photo pages then I dont see how it could cause any issue.

If any of the pages which get stamped are torn out it does matter as you could be covering up something. That can be an issue and you could get into a sticky situation if your passport is damaged. Obviously damage to your photo page in particular would get noticed.

Saying that if it’s just a folded over page you’ve got nothing at all to worry about, especially the emergency contact details page.
