To wonder if I’m the only one finding claiming funded hours very complicated?

It’s been an absolute nightmare. Is it just us?

Funded hours for nursery? How old is DC? I put DS name down at the nursery I wanted to go to when he turned two. We could claim funded hours the term after his third birthday and I got in touch with the nursery, filled in a few forms, did a few settling in sessions and that was it. He had to start on reduced hours as they were at capacity but he started doing the full days/hours I requested in September as more places became available.

Which bits are you finding complicated? Is it the eligibility criteria or something else?

TBF I put his name down at a few local nurseries and even with chasing up a couple of them were terrible and just never even got in touch even though he’d been on their list for ages so maybe it does depend on the nursery.

HMRC sent me a code, I sent it to nursery and filled in a form -was very straightforward.

Tell us the problem.

Sob. I am actually claiming with two providers. First provider was so easy. I filed in a form and that was that. Second provider has been a tad harder.
