I live near a motorway junction. For about the last 3 years, since the construction of a new section of dual carriageway, the area is subject to regular late night gatherings (at least once a month) of drivers who race their illegally loud cars up and down this section. The woman who lives in the house closest has logged dozens of calls with the Police. When she went out once to ask the racers to go away they threatened her.
I have logged with Police 101 and via Twitter DM. Last time I logged they told me to ring 999 in future. I have made 2 999 calls since but have given up as they haven't done any good. Several of us have written to our MP.
Is there really no way to stop this illegal, dangerous and antisocial activity? I am considering moving as it seems the Police and MP aren't interested.
