Going to a funeral

A friend's dad has just died.
The problem is we have arranged to go to another city for a couple of days. A theatre trip and just a chance to relax after a difficult couple of months.
Everything is booked and paid for. Would I be unreasonable not to cancel and to not go to the funeral.
She will have family there and other friends and I think she will understand but I'm struggling to find a way how to tell her.

Yanbu. Send condolences, flowers if they want them or money to charity if they are aligned to one.

Just tell her you are sorry you aren't able to be there, send flowers or make some other gesture, and catch up with her afterwards.

Absolutely fine not to go
