Depends who’s cooking

JingleSnowmanTree · 06/01/2024 16:53

As long as he's cooking he can choose, if you're cooking you can choise

Purplecatshopaholic · 06/01/2024 16:53

Your husband. Lasagne is awesome!

LuckyMoonstone · 06/01/2024 16:53

I’m sure you can make some sort of delicious hybrid of the two

JingleSnowmanTree · 06/01/2024 16:54

Choise??? Where does my phone get this shit from?? Choose

Berryberrywintermedley · 06/01/2024 16:54

He is cooking but I have made a home made trifle for later and have bought wine 🍷

All depends if your serving with garlic bread 😂

Beamur · 06/01/2024 16:56

Lasagne all the way.
Macaroni cheese is dull..

thistimelastweek · 06/01/2024 16:56

Lasagne every time.

Lasagnaroni 🤔

TheFoz · 06/01/2024 16:58

Lasagne obviously. With coleslaw.

end thread.

RJnomore1 · 06/01/2024 16:58

Lasagne is better the next day. So make both; the roux for the white sauce for the lasagne will be the same roux for the macaroni so it’s barely any more work, and you will also have tomorrow’s dinner sorted.

Growlybear83 · 06/01/2024 16:58

Neither. Make smaller portions of both.

LuckyMoonstone · 06/01/2024 17:00

@ImTiredBoss exactly. Layers of macaroni cheese separated by the meat filling of a lasagne 🤤

frezstart · 06/01/2024 17:00

Make a batch of cheese sauce
Batch of bolognaise, freeze half for another time
Cook macaroni
Make a macaroni cheese
Layer bologanise and macaroni cheese like a lasagna
Job done and both happy ??

sprigatito · 06/01/2024 17:02

Mac and cheese isn't a meal. Lasagne at least has some veg in it. And it's just generally better. YABU.

Great idea. I also think lasagne or the mix you suggest is more weekend than macaroni cheese. Incidentally, I never buy macaroni for pasta bakes, much prefer penne or fussili or rigatoni

ntmdino · 06/01/2024 17:04

Husband has the only correct answer here.

If he's breaking the rules and putting bacon lardons in it, he's extra-correct.

GettingStuffed · 06/01/2024 17:07

Make this pastisio, it's a Greek pasta bake like a combination of lasagna and macaroni cheese.

NotToYou · 06/01/2024 17:10

Lasagne gets my vote. Mac n cheese is boring.

Ponderingwindow · 06/01/2024 17:11

🍅 are evil. Pretty sure I read that on the internet somewhere so it must be true.

but if your husband is cooking, you are having lasagne for dinner.

You need to have macagna

UrsulaBelle · 06/01/2024 17:32

I’m having macaroni cheese tonight. With lardons!

When I do lasagne, it’s from the other half of a big bolognese that I’ve frozen, otherwise making lasagne feels like cooking two meals at once.

Mostlyoblivious · 06/01/2024 17:52

Perhaps make Mac cheese with a meaty base..?
