Morrisons grocery kinder egg mixup - should I complain?

I did a morrisons order and ordered some kinder egg natoons because my son loves the toy inside. He collects them as he loves animals. He sometimes even leaves the chocolate and just wants the toy inside.
While unpacking I noticed they are regular kinder eggs not the natoon ones. Last week they notified me in the email receipt they have been substituted with regular kinder eggs. This week they did not. Would you complain or just leave it?

I'd probably let them know, as they may well refund you or send you the correct ones. It's worth a try.

No, I wouldn't complain about this. Talk about a first world problem!

This. Actual LOL at you even thinking about it!

DragonFly98 · 04/01/2024 18:34

Yes obviously complain they are supposed to inform you of subs.

nwdx · 04/01/2024 18:35

I wouldn't complain but I'd just ask for a refund

Thesearmsofmine · 04/01/2024 18:35

I wouldn’t complain but I would let them know I had received the wrong item and request a refund.

ManchesterGirl2 · 04/01/2024 18:36

Yes, complain if you can be bothered. Obviously its a first world problem, but its still reasonable to complain if you buy one thing and receive another.

dcadmamagain · 04/01/2024 18:36

I’d tell them wrong item received and not listed as a sub. For those of you saying it’s not a real problem dureky if you ordered green apples and hot red it’s the same thing- it’s not the item you ordered

Sparklyhat · 04/01/2024 18:37

Kinder eggs change toy theme quite often, could be frozen/minions etc etc and the description on the site won't change as the name doesn't change you just get whatever happens to be the theme this time. i wokld
message them on facebook maybe ask to exchange them in store?

Deadhead2024 · 04/01/2024 18:41

It is an unnoted substitution, report it and get a refund. It isn’t a complaint. Do they not have an online problem reporting system? On Ocado it’s very quick and easy to report this type of thing. I usually report any problems before I put the groceries away. Why would you not report it?

I guess this is the kind of thing you're meant to notice when you take the shopping off them. Unless it's all bagged up and not visible. I'm with Sainsbury’s so have to unpack the crate so check as I unload it. Having said that I didn't notice they'd given me the wrong kid vitamins without telling me (was 3 for 2 and they'd given 2 of the right flavour and 1 wrong). If you can be bothered I'd contact them to ask for a partial refund as it sounds like a downgrade you were given.

Don't be ridiculous. First world problems are still problems. I received a faulty cabinet the other week. That's a first world problem. I still complained. Obviously. Because I don't want a faulty cabinet. You might sit there accepting any old shit that you don't want, until it meets your definition of a third world problem. As we live in the first world, you'll have a bloody long wait. Almost all our problems are first world problems.

OP they delivered something you didn't order, of course you should contact them and ask for a refund or replacement. This is an "expression of dissatisfaction" otherwise known as a "complaint".

Morrisons is bagged if you live in a white app area. Not in the green app area.

I'm amazed they even informed you. It is a fact if life that the toy theme changes. They were good though.
