Apologies if this has already been covered on another post but I’m looking for inspiration - what little positive things are you aiming to add into your days / weeks this year?

This is boring, but I used to do it and I realised a few weeks ago that I had stopped, and actually it made a difference.

Before I go to bed, put a laundry load in the washing machine and double check DH has loaded the dishwasher.

In the morning get up 30 mins before I "have" to, peg out washing (or put on airer/in tumble drier), unload dishwasher and give the kitchen a quick shwoosh. (DH wipes down in the evening, but invariably misses something). Get anything out of freezer for that night's dinner. Look at calendar hanging in the kitchen to remind myself of anything happening today/this week. Look at my list and highlight what I can do today.

Then I can put the kettle on and do my Wordle in peace and quiet knowing I am on top of the laundry, there won't be the 5 o'clock panic that dinner is still frozen, there are no forgotten events and any unexpected visitors will have clean mugs.

It's all minor, but if the day gets off to a good start it generally makes me feel more positive.

Going for a 20min walk every evening and making lunches to take to work instead of buying a meal deal.

Having a chamomile tea, taking magnesium, reading and rolling my face before bed every night

I need to get better sleep so praying this helps a little bit

A repetitive bedtime routine to get into good sleep habits. The plan is to go to bed by 9.45, read until,10.30 then hopefully sleep until alarm goes off at 6.10 am.

This is the pattern I am striving for but has thus far proved illusive!

I aim to go to Beginners Thai Chi, hopefully it’s just the tonic I need 😎

Stretching. I am getting more and more stiff, and am too young to feel this way!
