Just that really.

How is the deep cleaning in particular divvied up

Rota with a weekly duty to manage. In reality they need constant reminders and pleading, it getting on my tits. Next week I am going to look for a cleaner that they can pay for. No joke.

Deep cleaning meaning washing curtains and walls etc? I think that’s on the house owner.

Jennyjojo5 · 29/12/2023 17:30

not worth the battle with my 2 🤣 I do it all, bar their bedrooms

Hubby and I have a weekly blitz on Sunday morning. 2 hours with our fav music playing split the chores between us - I do kitchen, bathrooms and hard floors, he does hoovering, dusting and ironing. Washing gets done during the week as and when required. We have a grown up daughter who does very little in terms of helping but she does keep her own room nice.

I pay my friend to clean for me every fortnight - I do the rest, DD keeps her room clean (she’s 15)

I will hoover downstairs daily (large hairy dog). I tend to give the bathroom a wipe after each shower/use. If I see the dishwasher needs emptying I’ll always do it. It’s kept tidy. Between my mum and myself.

Sister and her fiancé moved in (we’re all in London saving for deposit). Can’t say I’ve ever seen them do more than load the dishwasher/washing machine or run the hoover around. Just irks me. Dad is disabled.

Hoping to buy in Spring - can’t come quick enough.

I’ve suggested a rota but get told it’s not needed and tbh don’t think sis would keep to it

I think everyone should do equally. Whether it’s, everyone cleans a room, or one cleans kitchen and bathroom, the other does all laundry, the other cooks and washes up. Etc
