Is there a domestic juicer that can cope with whole oranges?

Yes we have one. It’s the same make as we have in cafes and supermarkets here but a domestic version. I can’t remember the brand, but we feed whole oranges down a chute and the juice comes out of a tap on the bottom

It’s a zumex

Ours is 5 or 6 years old now so I think there’s an updated version, but it’s sleek black on the outside, with all the machinery invisible inside

They always look like such a faff to clean, presumably daily ?

After each use, yes. But it’s all contained within a kind of case so you just rinse it out. The skins come out in complete halves
