I really worry about these things! Everything is open plan and tiled and I don’t know what is best.

I don't really use cleaning products. I just use fairy liquid and disinfectant to clean. I'd probably use really hot water with some fairy added.

Theunamedcat · 27/12/2023 08:46

Anything you like just make sure its dry before baby is put down

lochmaree · 27/12/2023 08:48

I use the miniml floor cleaner. or as pp said just hot water and dish soap.

ThatsGoingToHurt · 27/12/2023 08:52

I have a steam mop as the steam cleans it so no chemicals needed.

DontPutTheKidsThroughIt · 27/12/2023 08:55

I’d probably go with washing up liquid in hot water. If it’s safe for clean plates it’s probably safe if your crawling baby ingests a minuscule bit of residue on the tiles.

Spruce floor cleaner or Ecover cleaner

MedbN · 27/12/2023 09:00

Steam mop

Bainbridgemews · 27/12/2023 09:01

I suppose I used the Smol general purpose spray but I can really say I never thought about it. Baby will be fine.

shockeditellyou · 27/12/2023 09:08

Er, bog standard Flash. It’s household detergent, not sulphuric acid. Baby will be fine.

CuttingMeOpenthenHealingMeFine · 27/12/2023 09:10

Steam clean or use fairy liquid and water, both will leave your floor looking nice and will be safe for the baby.

Electio7899 · 27/12/2023 11:39

I’d always use natural stuff - even now I’m much older my bleach is still in a very high cupboard. If it isn’t safe to lick, I wouldn’t wash the floor with it. Soap based stuff would be fine.

Electio7899 · 27/12/2023 11:40

My kids are much older - I’m also muc older of course 😂

I use the Method rhubarb floor cleaner. You can get at Sainsbury's.

Helenahandkart · 27/12/2023 11:56

The babygro will clean the floor for you as your baby crawls around, and your baby will eat any fallen crumbs while simultaneously improving its immune system. You don’t need to do a thing.

Unabletomitigate · 27/12/2023 12:42

Steam mop, then no need for cleaning products.

😆 That reminds me of an old Kitkat ad in Australia introducing baby mop.
