Help! Have tickets for Kew Gardens this evening, Elizabeth Gate. Any local MNers know where would be the best place to park?

Original plan was to drive around and be prepare to walk quite a way. But elderley mother now joining last minute who can't walk that far (no disabled permit). Can drop her at entrance then go park but where?

‘Your parking space ‘ app. Pay to park on someone’s driveway. Pretty cheap and we got somewhere really close.

I'm a local and you can park on any of the side streets for free. May take a little bit of driving around to find a space so defo drop your mother off. Also make sure you check which gate you are going in as they use all three and its a huge walk between them if you get it wrong.

Sorry re read your post and properly this time. For Elizabeth age I would look to park around Kew Green. All free parking and usually the best place for space.

Will she be OK walking round the trail? It's quite far

All the streets near by are free. Drop mother at gate and drive to nearby street. Kew garden is very big but there is a bus inside but not been for a few years due to how much it is now so not sure if the bus does the trail

We used a parking app & got a space on someone's drive very close to the gate.

Old deer car park near Richmond Circus then get the 65 bus.

I'm hoping with several coffee stops/rest breaks she'll manage it Confused

Kew Green looks like it has restrictions on 'event days' till 11pm, with the light trail being listed as one of the events which restricts parking.

Bus is a good shout though - didn't think they were running!

There are wheelchairs to hire at Kew Gardens at all gates and that might help her get the most out of the visit.

Also there is a Kew Garden car park at the Brentford Gate entrance (Ferry Lane) - it will fill up but if you get there early, you may get a space.

Where are you coming from? Buses are running. 65 stops at Lion Gate, Elizabeth Gate and Victoria Gate
