How are you spending Christmas?

We are at home but will be visiting the inlaws tomorrow and cooking lunch there
( taking most of it with me pre cooked) and be back home for tea.
Boxing Day we will be at my mums (a few doors down) and I will be sharing the cooking and hosting for 12. We will wobble home at some point!

Yabu. At home
Yanbu. Away

Home this year, nearly always (bar 2020) travel 250 miles to my Mums but can’t this year due to a new puppy in the family. Quite looking forward to a quiet Christmas to be honest.

Home. Dh, and two late teen boys. It's boring and shit. House is a pig sty, no one really cares this year, of the few things that have been done, I've done them all. There would literally be not a single decoration, piece of nice food or drink, or present for the kids if I hadn't done it. I'm tired and resigned.

Bah humbug.

At home. This is the first Christmas without my mum so we have collected my dad and having a peaceful Christmas at home just the five of us.
We’re going out for an early pub dinner followed by a walk around a light show.

Home for most of the day, but going for dinner to DB and family.

On holiday

Away. Back in the country I was born where my mum and all my relatives live. I haven't been back in 4yrs due to covid, so its magical to see everyone, but especially to see my mum ❤

Home. We have been home for the past 16 years as my kids hated being dragged around at Christmas and I don’t cope well with other people’s stress.
plus we have multiple animals and friends animals to help with.

we do a lot of entertaining during the rest of December so a nice quiet Christmas Day is always lovely.

We were supposed to be away, but illness means that we’re staying at home. We don’t mind at all. It would have been lots of fun but we’ll still have a wonderful day.

At home which normally I love. Unfortunately, I have to deal with my mother and my FIL. There are no Ds in front of either of those.

It's just a few hours but between mine and DH work and DDIL being on duty (nurse), it's most of the time that I will have with my DC that they are ruining.
