To be fed up of virus after virus..?

I have 2 DC - only at nursery and one in year 2.

Probably for the last 2 years, since DD(2) was born.. I've had constant cold/flu/covid/norovirus type bugs.

I genuinely have maybe 2-3 weeks if I'm lucky between colds. If either DC get poorly, I always get it. DP never gets anything!

I've tried vitamins, first defence etc but I'm fed up of being constantly unwell.

I work and I'm always stressed, some days I don't stop from 8am-10pm. I don't sleep great. I'm always low on iron.

Anyone else like this? Would it be a silly thing to go the gp about?

You sound really run down having long days where you don't stop 8-10pm. I know it's easier said than done but getting more rest would likely make a huge difference. I'd definitely look into how much rest I'm getting and what I can do to improve it and see if that helps in your situ. Sorry you're feeling so rubbish, everyone seems to be ill at the moment.

I'm not surprised at all, given you are working far too many hours and you're not giving yourself proper time to rest.
You're run down, and your body can't fight stuff off properly if you're not looking after yourself properly.

I am also alway ill I think it's a combination of my job, crappy immune system and young kids.

Do you take vitamins- vut c and zinc and echinacea are good. Are you taking Iron supplements?

The fact you don't feel like your DP gets stuff but you get everything stood out to me.

Do they get more rest than you?

Do you do more childcare than they do?
