To not want to watch Scrooge (1970 version) every year

I find it so bloody depressing and spooky. DH says it’s his childhood tradition and keeps pressing me on whether I want to watch it. I reply with ‘I’m happy to watch it’.

But I really don’t want to. I hate it!

Change the tradition to the Muppets Christmas Carol.

This is where you're going wrong, OP! Xmas Grin

He’s not a child anymore. Why not start a new tradition, with a film you both like. He can always watch that on his own.

Good grief, how hard can it be just to say, to your own husband, that you'd rather not watch it?
