To ask best time to book Lake Garda?

Posting here for traffic cos I need to book tonight

when is the best time to visit lake Garda? Most important thing is avoiding crowds as I’m claustrophobic but also want nice weather! Thanks

I went at the beginning of October, was absolutely perfect. Warm but not too hot, not crowded, had an amazing time.
