Just rang my banks automated system and my child ben seems to have been paid in yesterday too. Wonder if it cant be drawn on until Monday though? Dont understand!

cremolafoam · 15/03/2008 10:23

it is here. it's st patricks day.

but i don't suppose that would make any diff to tax credits.
prob easter

HappyMummyOfOne · 15/03/2008 10:24

All payments prior to xmas and easter go in a little earlier so that those who are due payment on the bank hol get it before so that they can access it if need be.

loopylou6 · 15/03/2008 10:25

but surely that should of been done next week though hmoo? bf, you will be able to draw on it deffo

Yes payments now usually go in on the last available banking day before the bank holiday - so child ben due easter monday should go in this Thursday.

loopylou6 · 15/03/2008 10:37

thanks bf [smile[]

child ben might be in early because DWP is on strike on monday & tuesday. they may have advanced the payemnts (they don't normally, but stranger things happen at sea etc..)

bluefox · 15/03/2008 11:21

Child Ben isnt DWP it is Inland Revenue now. Dont think they are on strike. Never mind - weve got the money early for some reason!

PersephoneSnape · 15/03/2008 11:45

oh so it is! all seems to bve the revenue then.

I can guarantee that my chb, due tuesday and my Tax credits, due next friday are NOWHERE near my bank account! although tax cred might be early due to good friday...

southeastastra · 15/03/2008 11:49

mine went in yesterday too, normally goes in on monday.

KatieScarlett2833 · 15/03/2008 12:45

Yes, CB and CTC are paid by HMRC, IS, etc by DWP. We usually pay early when public holidays are around (DWP)as we don't want to take the risk that your payments will be late, and no-one around to sort it out. We are on strike Monday and Tuesday next week, so if you receive JSA, it should be paid automatically.

Blueskythinker · 15/03/2008 13:11

IT'S ST PATRICKS DAY!!!! Way hey, we all get a bank holiday in NI.

You may find that your tax etc is administered in NI, regardless of where you live in the UK. They outsource loads of admin to NI.

KatieScarlett2833 · 15/03/2008 13:34

Happy St Pat's Day Bluesky, hope it's a good one.

kerryk · 15/03/2008 14:04

i called the bank about this last year and the payment was in early because of st.patricks day, even though i am in scotland

ExtraFancy · 15/03/2008 14:14

Just checked, and my CHB is in the bank too - due on Tuesday.

benandalex · 15/03/2008 14:43
