To ask for help for a word of the year resolution

A friend has a great tradition of choosing a word of the year instead of resolutions. I would love to do this, and I want my word to encapsulate the feeling of coming home to yourself after a tricky time (I know this sounds very airy fairy but I've had a tough time) I can't quite get the right word though- any suggestions?

I like this. Like finding myself and making sure I stay steady

I'm using the word 'light' for 2024. I like that it has lots of interpretations.

I've been through a tough time too. For me the things that are standing out are

Moving towards the light
Feeling light rather than heavy with sadness
Treading lightly
Being outside
Cosy fairy lights and light in winter
Remembering the surety that the light will always return when facing hard days

I love these. I particularly like 'light' @Losttree2023 it feels like it could apply to my situation.

I think I need to have a think about a word I might choose. I'm currently struggling in chronic fatigue and needing some hope for the new year.

This is a bit too solid for me, I'm still striving , and have things to work on like meeting a new partner so I want something a bit more active in vibe if you know what I mean

Nice idea but this is too passive for where I am currently at, I need something more proactive maybe?

It's been joyful finding myself again, and I am an extrovert , so I find things like slow, calm, mindful etc a bit depressing. My joy comes form busy vibrant life (I'm amazed at this as I always thought i was an introvert)

I’ve been thinking of using both Grace and Discovery.

Grace because after a tricky year I’ve been trying to be patient with myself the last few weeks. I need to continue with that and try to stop beating myself up with “shoulds”

And Discovery because I feel like I need to rediscover the things I love and/or find new ones.
