Want to rent out my home for parties/ hen dos

My partner and I have a large 6 bedroom (semi-detached) home near a busy city centre. Our home is beautiful but I dream about being in the countryside. A friend suggested we rent our home on airbnb - it would be a great place for hen parties as we have a wine bar, big kitchen, dining room and lounge and lots of bedrooms (could sleep 15+) people.
Is this a mad idea? Will the place get trashed? Hoping there is a good insurance policy I could take out... has anyone else on here done the same?

Large groups of people and alcohol plus your neighbours to consider... What could go wrong.

Thedogscollar · 15/12/2023 01:07

Have you given any thought to your next door neighbours who will be living through these hen parties.
Or is this a silly wind up thread?🤔

Tinkerbyebye · 15/12/2023 01:11

Dont be ridiculous. 15 people in a 6 bed home? Doubt it would be allowed

And how inconsiderate for your neighbours

FiveShelties · 15/12/2023 01:13

I think it is a cracking idea. Do post before and after photos.

Runoutofinkagain · 15/12/2023 01:14

Huh? Why would you not just sell it and move to the countryside? Am I missing something here? Why would there be Air BnB involved?

Thedogscollar · 15/12/2023 01:17

@Hydrangeahome Didn't you want to move back to London last month in a previous thread. Now you want to move to the countryside ??
Something not right here.

AtrociousCircumstance · 15/12/2023 01:18

Your poor neighbours. You’ll make their lives a misery. Ugh.

TwoMoreBoxesJayne · 15/12/2023 01:18

I thought the same.

This is not real .

ActDottie · 15/12/2023 01:37

Semi detached… my first thought was your poor neighbours!

WandaWonder · 15/12/2023 02:43

Where will the private jet land?

ThePoshUns · 15/12/2023 03:10

Lovely thing to do to your neighbours

NarniaOrBust · 15/12/2023 03:11

And your neighbours? Or do they not count?

BlusteryLake · 15/12/2023 04:49

I really hope this practice becomes illegal at some point soon. It's basically antisocial behaviour towards your neighbours but without you actually being there.

cerisepanther73 · 15/12/2023 05:13

@Hydrangeahome
Don't be daft ,

your friend whoever they are sounds quire bonkers to even think of this in the first place,

I wonder what could go wrong with so many people and alchol involved having a good time ect

cerisepanther73 · 15/12/2023 05:14

Christmascountdownpanic · 15/12/2023 05:20
