To pop into corner shop to buy one thing. Possibly a 30 second walk to the shop as you can’t park right outside. They are 2, 6 and 13.

YABU = no
YANBU = yes it will be fine

Take the 2yr old with you, other 2 will be fine.

QuestionableMouse · 14/12/2023 17:03

I would, as long as the oldest is sensible. Maybe take the littlest with you.

GreatGateauxsby · 14/12/2023 17:04

There’s a 13 year old in the car. Absolutely fine unless there is something you haven’t disclosed (SEN etc)

at 13 they can watch a content 2 year old for 5 mins in a secured environment

AhBiscuits · 14/12/2023 17:04

13 year old is old enough to watch the other 2.

SisterMichaelsHabit · 14/12/2023 17:05

It depends where you've parked. I'd never leave kids in the car if I'd parked on the road because of risk of an accident/them getting hurt. But if you're properly parked in a bay then no issue at all as long as you're not going to have a long chat with the people at the shop.

Cantbebotheredwithausername · 14/12/2023 17:09

If your 13-year-old is happy to watch the little one, then absolutely. No problem.

Iam4eels · 14/12/2023 17:10

13yr old is old enough to keep an eye on the other two while you pop in and out.

Reesescheeses · 14/12/2023 18:13

Thanks for the votes! Trip done, all children happy and safe

Not a pp but wouldn't unload these ages tbh but rude not to thank for a tot milk even if only ok x

HerMammy · 14/12/2023 18:33

Don't know what happened there 🤣
popping in for a pint of milk

SurelySmartie · 14/12/2023 18:35

Sorted!

Shouldn't have been drinking coffee when I read that 😅

PuttingDownRoots · 14/12/2023 18:44

I would presume a teenager (without additional needs) is perfectly capable of looking after any age sibling for 5 minutes

BingoMarieHeeler · 14/12/2023 19:07

Definitely fine in real life. 2 year old is strapped in of course. 13 year old is plenty old enough to be in charge for a few mins.
