I normally drink between 2 and 4 evenings per week, depending on our social plans. After a recent holiday where I drank for 13 days in a row (1 to 3 large glasses of wine or cocktails per evening depending, so say 2 on average) I'm having a break until Christmas to try to hopefully feel less tired.
I feel bored of wine and gin at the minute but am looking forward to a few cream liqueurs in Christmas week. I know my taste for wine will have returned by then too, whereas for now the idea of the glass of wine is almost unpleasant.
Do you get sick of alcohol if you drink it every day for a bit, such as on holiday?
I feel no different a week in with no booze. Tired as usual. Was hoping to feel a bit more energised I suppose? Don't know why I expected anything really, as dry January doesn't seem to make a difference either.
Do you notice a big difference in your energy and wellbeing when you are drinking, compared to when you are not?
