Asking him to help with something. As we were walking he stated “I want to use the toilet first. So I carried on the task was a quick task assuming he would wait he then repeated it. Surely could have just have waited

when you’ve got to go you’ve got to go.

ChiIIieP · 09/12/2023 22:48

Is this for real?

VeniVidiWeeWee · 09/12/2023 22:59

What was the task if it could be done while you were walking?

ANightingale · 09/12/2023 23:00

Npn-event.

alphamonkey · 09/12/2023 23:03

You're upset because a colleague wanted to use the toilet before helping you? That's ridiculous. And no not everyone can wait. Bowel and bladder issues are very real and you could probably find yourself in trouble with HR for being so dismissive of something like that.

Mrsphilmiller · 09/12/2023 23:05

I think you were both unreasonable. You both indicated to be more important than the other. You are obviously not meeting each others needs.
And your employer must be benefiting from this diabolical situation.
Get with it!!

Wellawkward · 09/12/2023 23:07

Did you think he was taking the piss OP?

User13579367337 · 09/12/2023 23:07

Cool story bro

Overthebow · 09/12/2023 23:07

You why wouldn’t you just let them use the toilet?

malmi · 09/12/2023 23:14

I can't tell where he stopped speaking. Is he reading this whole thread?

Finful · 09/12/2023 23:15

Why are you still giving this head space on a Saturday night?

Circumferences · 09/12/2023 23:15

What was the task
Was it holding onto something urgently??

dastidlydaschel · 09/12/2023 23:18

I feel like I read this exact same thread a few months ago 🤔

VeniVidiWeeWee · 09/12/2023 23:19

@Good8888

So, what actually happened, (hearing the far off sound of hooves)?

Tilllly · 09/12/2023 23:20

What?

OllieCollieWoo · 09/12/2023 23:23

Wasn't there a post about this same scenario a while ago ? Or am I having the dullest of dreams?

LittleGreenDragons · 10/12/2023 01:53

Did this quick task involve heavy lifting?

RantyAnty · 10/12/2023 01:54

The poo fairy just isn't going to wait around.

You need to be careful - asking someone to defer a bodily need such a toileting is a breach of health and safety and their human rights and employment rights.

GreenWheat · 10/12/2023 04:52

So your question is "Should people go to the loo when they need to, or should they wait until it suits me?"

Lifeasiknowitisout · 10/12/2023 06:21

Who do you think is ridiculous? Surely not the colleague who said they needed the toilet before they did you favour and helped you?

Do you mean are you ridiculous? If so then yes you are

WiddlinDiddlin · 10/12/2023 06:42

Why would you assume that he'd wait, when he clearly said he wanted to go to the loo first?

Do you typically struggle with the concept of first/last/now/next etc?

FiveShelties · 10/12/2023 06:49

Oh do come back OP and tell us more.

HeartShapedBox · 10/12/2023 06:56

I've read this exact op before, word for word HmmHmmHmm
