non stressful jobs / careers earning 50k+

I earn this amount when working full time, but my job is stressful.

I am dreaming of a job where I could earn a similar amount but not feel stressed i.e. have adequate time and resources to complete my work to a good standard within working hours. (yes, I am public sector…)

If you have a job like this, pls share!

If often seen lots of public sector mostly remote jobs in this salary range. Have you tried looking on jobsgopublic, or civilservicejobs?

Diversity and inclusion officer is the job you want. Literally a job made up as a compliance ticker, and you don't even need to succeed or hit KPIs.

Not me but my partner. Own IT company, WFH. Put in lots of graft when younger but basically taught himself, reading books about data warehousing and passing courses.
Now has a few calls daily, and an hour or so of spreadsheet type work but watches lots of films and video games 😳
He never seems stressed about his job.

I don't think most jobs in the private sector have enough time or resources to complete them either...

take care assuming wfh = minimal stress. its same shit, just sitting at home rather than in an office.

I work in public sector, mostly working from settee, minimum stress over £55k. Some jobs might be stressful, but mine isn’t really.

Are you an accountant by any chance OP? No advice but you have my sympathy. It’s rough. People too often think public sector workers are lazy and a drain on the system whereas the reality is that people in back office jobs are up to their eyes in it because of budget cuts which mean that jobs are cut and the staff remaining are up to their eyes in it.

Accountant in practice. Full time can earn easily more than £50k just doing your hours, and you said you're already chartered? Not big4!

Lead UI/UX in video games company. Salary 80K. Work from home. I really enjoy my job.but i’m very good at it.

Digital transformation NHS. It has it’s own stresses , but there’s always someone who knows the answer and nothing compared to working front line!

I kind of work as an interface between front line and technical staff to iron out all the issues. I learn a lot, my work improves clinical practice and patient experience, so I end up on everyone’s good side - it’s great!

Unfortunately, despite what the title implies I'm ineligible for that sort of job.

I am intrigued as to what makes your role so stressful, op. I feel that this is somewhat disingenuous.

Many professionals within the private sector have stressful occupations and earn significantly less than 50k per annum, without the added bonuses that are afforded to those in the public sector.

I'd guess that most of us earning above that threshold have peaks and troughs during the average year. On occasions stressful, on occasions less so.

I earn 60k working in education management and it is a very easy non stressful job. I only manage 4 people but I do have to commute. However I don’t take my work home with me and I never have to work overtime, evenings or weekends.

I’m earn £75k as an actuary and the top end of junior. I don’t find the job stressful, I enjoy it.

Thats said qualifying as an actuary was stressful (6 years and 15 exams) but worth it as I’m set up for life now.

Lol. In the public sector , no. Private sector maybe, but I still wouldn’t fancy it myself!

£43,500 if I was FT. I’m a residential property solicitor doing technical support, so I don’t have my own clients.

I’m not being disingenuous and unsure why you think I am, @AllesAusLiebe? My job is stressful because, as implied in my post, I do not have enough time to get everything done. I work with other teams and they don’t have the resources they need to be able to do what I need them to do. I am conscientious and want to do a good job, but I just can’t be as thorough / detailed / timely as is needed and this is stressful.

I only mentioned public sector because being stressed / not having resources is kind of taken for granted by now in my workplace, I assumed it was like that everywhere in the public sector.

I’m not anti private sector, I just assume things are run differently. Although I am amazed you think public service workers get bonuses - I certainly never have, I thought that was a private sector thing, based on profits made?

I’m not going to say what exactly I do because then I will just get comments about my job, when I want to know about your jobs please!

Trades but choose carefully. Scientific jobs. Energy sector- huge profits! Etc. I quite enjoy my job which is very busy but not too stressful

When you say technical support what does that entail?

I think it's difficult to know.
My job shouldn't be stressful, and when I'm left to get on with it, it is wonderful. Unfortunately, it just takes a change of manager to turn what was a previously brilliant job, into a toxic stressful nightmare! This has happened to me more than once in my career.
