So I'm deaf. I'm classed as severe to profoundly deaf, hearing aids are helpful but phones are inaccessible because my aids don't work with them.
Anyway, BOS decided to block my card. No reason that I can see. I went online and all ok, online chat says I have to call. No one available to take the online chat. I explain I'm deaf. They say use relay.
So relay is someone taking the call, typing it out and me responding. But the problem is, there isn't enough time between BOS saying it and it being typed before it's cut off. I never get chance to answer and they write in shorthand as it is. I've tried and tried. Sometimes I get through and 1hour and 45 minutes later the person hangs up as they don't want to deal with it.
I've had my husband come home and try and still they keep dropping calls after an hour or so. I've been trying for close to 10 hours now and I'm no further forward.
The online chat person says they are sorry but the only option is to call, I can't go into the bank, I can't do it online, nothing. I have to call. There is no option to have them call back, your just expected to wait but because I'm using relay then they keep dropping the call.
The online person says they can offer me £15 for the discrimination I say I felt. I've said no. It's not about the money, I just want the card unblocked and someone to help me.
